Getting Started…

Before you have a look at any of the specific topics it’s important to acknowledge something. Being a parent is hard, really hard. It certainly is great and incredibly rewarding, but with that comes a lot of demands. So before you go any further, let's all agree that everyone has their moments when it comes to parenting. Even the people who you might look at and think that they make it look easy. It’s not always that way. Everyone has their own struggles and battles. There is no shame in that and it’s always OK to ask for help when you need it.

 

With that in mind, these ideas and exercises you’ll look at should not be a replacement for talking to someone. I’ve learnt/developed 99% of this from my sessions with therapists and counsellors. What you’ll find here might resonate with you and  help you, that’s awesome. If what you read here doesn’t speak to your experience, that’s fine too. There is no one size fit’s all approach. Either way, please don’t look at these modules as a replacement for talking to someone.

 

So, if you want to feel a little less alone in the struggles. Maybe even pick something up that might help you, please have a look through this site. If just one person finds something that resonates with them and helps, it will have been well worth my time. Cheers!
